The math
What a 6% commission costs at your price
Both sides transacting without agents: the buyer flat fee plus the seller tier at that price, against a
traditional 6% total commission (totals commonly run 5-6%; the table uses 6% for round math).
| Home price | 6% commission | StraightKeys flat fees (est.) | Difference |
| $350,000 | $21,000 | $2,498 | $18,502 |
| $450,000 | $27,000 | $3,248 | $23,752 |
| $600,000 | $36,000 | $3,248 | $32,752 |
The difference stays in the deal. Depending on your state and your loan's contribution caps, it can reach
you as closing costs covered, a rate buydown, or a lower price.
In some states, commission rebates to buyers are not allowed. There, buyer-side savings arrive as a lower
price instead. The app reads each state's rules from a maintained legal dataset, so what you see inside
the product is already state-aware.
Estimates only. Actual commissions, fees, and what savings you can receive vary by deal, market, lender,
and state - confirm the exact figures with the parties involved.
